El Quijote y la melancolía

This article investigates Cervantes’ masterpiece’s inaugural character in modern literature. To do so, we explore the concept of melancholy, central to the Quixote, and argue that this concept can be understood as a structural generator of the modern literary work. The analysis is first performed in the ideological and historical context of the time of Cervantes, the “melancholic age”, then moving on to study the way in which Cervantes has internalised this “objective melancholy” in his construction of the character of Don Quixote and of the literary work itself. Thirdly, Cervantes’ originality is located in a more general ontological history of melancholy, which discovers in it an important key to the archaeology of the present.En este artículo se indaga en el carácter inaugural de la literatura moderna que posee la obra capital de Cervantes. Para ello, se analiza el concepto de melancolía, central en El Quijote, y se sostiene que ese concepto puede entenderse como generador estructural de la obra literaria moderna. El análisis se lleva a cabo, en primer lugar, en el contexto histórico-ideológico de la época de Cervantes, “era melancólica”, para trasladarse, en segundo lugar, al estudio de la manera en que Cervantes ha interiorizado esa “melancolía objetiva” en la construcción del personaje de D. Quijote y de la propia obra literaria. En tercer lugar, se ubica la originalidad cervantina en una historia ontológica más general de la melancolía, que descubre en ella una importante clave de la arqueología de la actualidad

Foucault and the Recommencement of Philosophy

Javier de la Higuera discusses in his “Foucault and the Recommencement of Philosophy” the idea of a recommencement of philosophy that Michel Foucault has posited on several occasions, although with different meaning and intentions. This article reconstructs how he approached this in the 1960s and shows the fundamental changes that this idea of recommencement underwent in the later Foucault. In his last three years at the Collège de France, Foucault appeared to reinterpret the very idea of philosophy based on his analysis of ancient spirituality and of parrhesiastic philosophical practice. The interpretation that Gilles Deleuze gave of late Foucault, devoted to the study of the new axis of subjectivation, makes it possible to confirm that this was also a question of a highly radical revision of the very status of philosophy and of its important role with regard to politics

Psicoeducación familiar en la esquizofrenia: de los datos empíricos a la realidad clínica

Las intervenciones familiares son ahora consideradas una parte fundamental dentro del abordaje psicosocial de la esquizofrenia. La evidencia acumulada en las ultimas dos décadas ha servido no solo para poner de manifiesto su eficacia en orden a reducir la tasa de recaídas en el paciente y mejorar su ajuste social, sino que también se han producido importantes avances en la delimitación de los constructos, variables y factores implicados en la respuesta familiar. En relación al proceso de intervención hoy día se conocen suficientemente cuales deben ser sus características y contenidos críticos para optimizar su eficiencia. El presente articulo tiene un doble objetivo, por un lado revisar los datos empíricos y las contribuciones conceptuales acumuladas sobre el particular; por otro, el analizar, desde un punto de vista mas cercano a la realidad de los servicios, cuál es su nivel real de utilización y que factores pueden ser relevantes para lograr una implementación efectiva de estas intervenciones dentro de los protocolos rutinarios de intervención.Family interventions are considered now a key piece in psychosocial interventions for schizophrenia. The works accumulates the last two decades have been useful not only to check the effectiveness of this process in order to reduce recidivist rate in patients and improve their social behaviour, but also have been essential to advanced in the definition of constructs, variables and factors implicates in family response. In relation to interventions process are already sufficiently well-shaped which should be theirs characteristics and critical contents in order to optimize efficiency. This paper has a double objective, on the one hand to review data empirical and conceptual contributions accumulate until today about this kind of actions. On the other hand, and more linked to the reality in mental health services, to outline which variables can help and which ones hinder implementing, real and effective, of this kind of process within the protocols of dairy techniques of interventions

The ontology of love in Pedro Laín and the idea of exteriority

Este artículo reconstruye la teoría del amor de Pedro Laín Entralgo, en su doble referencia, a la ontología fenomenológica y a la metafísica de Zubiri. El amor representa para Laín el lugar en que se produce la posesión íntima de lo real y, al mismo tiempo, la incursión en el dinamismo y la apertura de la misma realidad. El repaso por las formas y grados que la teoría lainiana distingue en el amor lleva a encontrar en su forma máxima una apertura ontológica de carácter vertical hacia el fundamento metafísico. El artículo esboza finalmente la posibilidad de reinterpretar el amor como relación horizontal con una exterioridad de carácter inmanente.This article reconstructs the love’s theory of Pedro Lain Entralgo in its double reference to phenomenological ontology and metaphysics of Zubiri. According Laín, love is the place in which intimate possession of reality take place and, at the same time, there occurs the immersion in the dynamism and openness of the same reality. The review of forms and degrees of love leads to finding in its highest form a vertical ontological openness towards metaphysical foundation. The article outlines the possibility of reinterpreting love as a horizontal relationship with immanent exteriority

THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE OPENING OF STORES AND THE ACHIEVEMENT OF ARTISAN TEACHING LIKE URBAN ECONOMIC "PROXY-DATA" IN THE EIGHTEENTH CENTURY BURGOS

Estas páginas pergeñan un análisis crítico de las solicitudes de licencia para la apertura de tiendas en el Burgos del siglo XVIII, parámetro combinado con la diacronía de la obtención de la maestría artesanal a través de las cartas de examen. Ello posibilita, a mi juicio, una reconstrucción aproximativa del clima económico existente en la ciudad castellana a lo largo de dicha centuria. Tiendas y cartas de examen se conjugan para ofrecernos un “Proxy-data” diagnóstico del panorama, positivo o negativo, subyacente a la economía urbana, y de sus patologías climáticas y productivas en lo agrario. El zig-zag de las series nos aproxima, también, a las palpitaciones del consumo, de la oferta y demanda generada por los habitantes de Burgos, mayor entre los más privilegiados y más paupérrima entre los menos afortunados.These pages provide a critical analysis of license applications for the opening of stores in the eighteenth-century Burgos, a parameter combined with the diachrony of obtaining artisan mastery through examination letters. This makes possible, in my opinion, an approximate reconstruction of the economic atmosphere existing in the Castilian city throughout this century. Shops and examination letters are combined to offer us a "Proxydata" diagnosis of the landscape, positive or negative, underlying the urban economy, and its climatic and productive pathologies in the agrarian field. The zig-zag of the series also brings us closer to the palpitations of consumption, of the supply and demand generated by the inhabitants of Burgos, bigger among the most privileged and more impoverished among the less fortunate

¿Auscultando el tiempo meteorológico? Barómetros en las casas burgalesas de mediados del Setecientos

En dues cases de Burgos, a mitjan segle xviii, es registra la presència de sengles baròmetres, segons apareix en els inventaris post mortem de l’aixovar domèstic respectiu. Es tracta de la llar d’un buròcrata, un empleat d’alt nivel de l’Administració de rendes, don José Antonio Gonzalo del Río, que gaudia d’un bon nivell de vida, rendes i fortuna; i de la llar d’un canonge de la catedral, don Ignacio de la Vega Soto, arxiver del capítol, un clergue de recursos escassos. Els dos inventaris suposen un 0,5 per cent del total dels recollits dels veïns de Burgos en l’època, una dada similar a la de París, que era d’un 0,4 per cent. L’article indaga en les raons que expliquen la possessió d’aquests instruments de predicció i medició meteorològica en les dites casesEn dos viviendas de Burgos de mediados del siglo xviii se registra la presencia de sendos barómetros, al efectuar el inventario post mortem de sus enseres y pertrechos. Polynomial characteristic sets for DFA identification

[EN] We study the order in Grammatical Inference algorithms, and its influence on the polynomial (with respect to the data) identification of languages. This work is motivated by recent results on the polynomial convergence of data-driven grammatical inference algorithms. In this paper, we prove a sufficient condition that assures the existence of a characteristic sample whose size is polynomial with respect to the minimum DFA of the target language. © 2012 Elsevier B.V.
